We need YOU to VOLUNTEER!

Volunteering is a great way to give back to your community. YWCA Westmoreland has an array of opportunities for you to become involved as much or as little as your schedule allows – recurring opportunities, special events, program support and more. We would love your help supporting the women and families we serve.

Ways to Volunteer

  • YWCA Thrift Shop

    Volunteers are needed for sorting, ironing, cashier, stock person, customer service representative, and consignor.

  • YWCA Used Bookstore

    Volunteers are needed to organize books into specific categories and offer assistance to customers.

  • YWCA Thrift Shop Facilities Coordinator

    Volunteers are needed to work on outdoor projects and assist inside the Thrift Shop where needed.

  • Event Assistant

    Volunteers are needed to assist the YWCA team in preparing for upcoming events.

Membership allows for affordable enrollment for those interested in technology classes, English-as-a-Second language classes, health and wellness classes, and support services offered by the YWCA.

Additional Membership Information:

  • To register for membership, you must be 12 years of age or older.

  • Associate membership is available for males. Voting privileges are reserved for full members age 15 or older.

  • All gift levels include the $20 Basic Membership. Levels above $20 provide additional financial support for comprehensive YWCA programs designed to empower women, girls and families.

  • $30 Supporting Member provides materials for one student in our English-as-a-Second Language program.

  • $50 Patron Member

  • All Century Friend $100 and Honor Circle Friend $200+ Members will be honored at an Annual Luncheon in December. $200 Honor Circle Membership provides funding to tech girls robotics in our TechGYRLS program.

  • Your YWCA Membership may be used at any YWCA in the world.

  • The YWCA reserves the right to revoke the membership of or deny membership to anyone whose conduct, behavior or language is inconsistent with the principles of the YWCA Mission.

  • Your membership will strengthen our mission to eliminate racism, empower women, and promote peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all.
