Children Jump Roping

The YWCA Westmoreland County Preschool and childcare programs are dedicated to child development, education and emotional growth with high-quality and age-appropriate activities; a variety of educational toys and equipment; a stimulating curriculum that’s custom tailored to each child’s development and interests. The YWCA Westmoreland County Preschool, which is available to any one regardless of their socio-economic status, offers childcare and education that’s secure, diverse and stimulating. Studies show that early childhood development is one of the best economic development tools for states to develop a stronger workforce, lower crime rates and advance educational opportunities.

The YWCA Kidz Zone Program is particularly empowering for working women and parents who require childcare before and after school. Children enrolled in the program will have the opportunity to participate in indoor and outdoor activities, games, crafts and homework time. Snacks are provided in the afternoon session. This program has received the Keystone STAR 1 rating.

The YWCA Young Wonders Summer Day Camp is a licensed program that provides consistency and enrichment for children, ages 6 -10,  in a relaxed environment that encourages individual choice making and fun! This program has received the Keystone STAR 2 rating.
