There is always a large variety of quality books at the sale!
Purchases benefit the YWCA Westmoreland County programs. The sale is always held in September.
How can you help?
We accept gently used hard back and paper back fiction and non-fiction books. We DO NOT take text books, magazines, encyclopedias or Reader’s Digest Condensed Books. The last day that we will accept book donations for this year’s sale is Friday, August 30, 2019. Thank you for your understanding and for your donations!
Work at the Annual Used Book Sale:
In September, the Literacy Program has our Annual Used Book Sale at Westmoreland Mall. Volunteers are needed to work at the sale to restock and straighten books and to work as cashiers. The sale takes place Thursday through Sunday during regular mall hours. Volunteer shifts are scheduled for two to three hours at a time.
Volunteers are needed to sort through the book donations that are collected throughout the year. Book sorters meet Tuesdays from 1:00 – 3:00 PM (weather permitting) behind the little strip mall by Agway (call for specific directions).
